The National Council of Negro Women ( Norfolk Section ) held a scholarship & community awards banquet on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Norfolk Airport Hilton.
Norfolk City Council Member Angelia Williams was the keynote speaker. She inspired the crowd by focusing her speech on God and reaching for more.

The National Council of Negro Women, Inc was founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. The council was established to help women improve the quality of life for themselves,families and the community. NCNW’s mission is to lead,develop and advocate for women of African decent.
