Tieshe Matthews is the founder of Beautiful Kids Non Profit organization, which focuses on Alopecia in children. Alopecia areata is a skin disease, causing hair loss on the scalp, face and sometimes on other areas of the body. In can result in bald patches or total hair loss. The goal of BKO is to provide wigs to children living with alopecia and fund researchers, as they continue working to find a cure.
Tieshe is a hair stylist. On many occasions, children suffering with Alopecia would sit in her chair and ask, “How can I grow my hair back?”. She knew she needed to do more. That’s why she birthed Beautiful Kids Organization in 2009.
